I’m a product of the Chicago suburbs and, after a brief stint
on the East Coast, I now call San Francisco home.
I began taking pictures in earnest in 2000. My fifth solo show,
Light, will be held in March ’03. I’ve also participated
in 2 group shows.
I’ve recently switched over to a Mamiya 7-II medium format
camera. The medium format negatives are about 4.5 times larger than
35mm negatives. This allows for increased clarity, sharpness, and
color saturation. Most all of the Light and Colors of Night photos
were taken with the Mamiya. The American Women photographs were
shot with a 35mm, Pentax K-1000.
I also do my own color printing at Colorarts in the Mission.
Recently, I’ve begun to make some sales -- which is fun.
My work has been acquired by the Ft. Mason Foundation as well as
several private individuals.
